Call for Jurors for the 2014 Canadian Weblog Awards
/The Canadian Weblog Awards are a juried competition, because they celebrate quality over popularity. It's not traffic numbers that matter here; we love great writing and great design. In order to do show off our best and brightest, though, we need volunteer jurors to help us surface the best Canadian blogs, and that means you!
Do you want to help celebrate the best in Canadian blogging? Do you believe in quality, both in content and design? Do you want to put your judgement to good use? Then you probably need to join us. We take Canadians and non-Canadians alike, so there's no need to let your position on the globe get in the way.
Fill out the form below to become a juror in the 5th annual Canadian Weblog Awards! We would love to have you.

THE JUROR APPLICATION FORM BELOW:
So, you want to be a weblog awards juror! You've come to the right place, because the 2014 Canadian Weblog Awards is accepting volunteer jury member applications until November 12, 2014.
If you are selected as a juror, your duties will be asked to:
- critically and fairly judge approximately 50 weblogs against a simple set of 10 criteria between November 15th and November 28th: http://www.canadianweblogawards.com/criteria/. The scores will be used to reveal the top five semi-finalists in each category.
- judge the five semi-finalists against the same set of 10 criteria between December 1st and December 12th, the scores from which the final top three weblogs in each category will be ranked in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
- work with fellow jurors to choose and rank the top three in categories in which ties for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place present themselves.
- have your bio displayed on the Canadian Weblog Awards website following the announcement of finalists on December 15, 2014. For example: http://www.canadianweblogawards.com/2013-jurors.
- disclose any and all possible conflicts of interest with regard to the weblogs you are asked to judge, such as your being directly or indirectly involved with any of the said weblogs.
- keep confidential your position as a juror as well as any information regarding the nominated weblogs and the judging process during its proceedings. If a juror breaks this confidentiality offline or online before December 15, 2014, said juror will be relieved of their duties, and the weblogs under their purview will be scored again by an impartial juror.
By filling out and submitting this form, you agree to complete the above listed duties as a juror in the 2014 Canadian Weblog Awards, should you be selected. If you are selected, you will receive your acceptance e-mail on or before November 15, 2014. Only accepted jurors will be contacted.
Thanks for your application!
